Delivery Driver - Industrial

Traver IDC, a world-class supplier of electrical apparatus and service located in Waterbury, CT, is seeking a full-time, experienced Delivery Driver - Industrial to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for loading and securing inventory onto company trucks (pick-up, flat bed, box style) in a safe manner before heading out on their route using various shop lifting devices including manual/auto lifts.
• Check their loads to make sure all items required for each order are present on the truck and are not damaged.
• Obtain signatures to document the customer's receipt of the shipment.
• Deliver and pick up merchandise including emergency rush deliveries or pick-ups that require overtime.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good customer service abilities.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work well in a team environment.
• Read and follow maps and be familiar with GPS devices.
• Must maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to deal with customers effectively and promote a strong company image.
• Driver must currently have and maintain a good driving record (no moving violations).
• Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds regularly and move heavier items with assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Warehouse experience a plus!
• Drivers may have to pass a Department of Transportation physical exam.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of delivery service experience and a clean driving record.
