The James C. Smith Spirit of Excellence Award was established to honor retired Webster Bank CEO James C. Smith for his outstanding support and inspirational leadership both personally and professionally to United Way. The award is bestowed annually to a company that completes a well-organized, effective United Way campaign that yields a positive, enduring legacy for years to come. This year, that honor recognized Traver IDC for their efforts during the 2019-2020 campaign as well as their support throughout the current campaign.
