The Smaller Manufacturers Association of Connecticut Inc. will hold its 59th annual meeting today at 5:30 at the Watertown Golf Club. During the meeting the association will install its officers for 2008-09.
Jack Traver Jr., of Traver IDC in Waterbury, will be installed as president, succeeding Pat Hayden of Donham Craft Inc.
Eric Albert, president of Albert Bros. Inc. in Waterbury, will be serve as vice president, and Jim Basta, vice president of Sales at Erickson Metals Corp. in Cheshire, will be secretary/treasurer.
Three new board members will also be elected for the 2008 - 11 term: Richard Demsey, president of Demsey Manufacturing Co. in Watertown; Gerry Mastropietro, senior vice president at Hubbard-Hall Inc. in Waterbury, and William Waseleski, president of Century Spring Manufacturing Co. in Bristol.
Incorporated in 1949, the association has more than 125 member firms, representing nearly 4,000 employees.
