Welding-Panel-200.gifMetallon is a small manufacturer located in Thomaston, Connecticut.  They make various punched and pressed metal parts and have been in business since 1964.  They serve numerous industries including Automotive, Medical, Aircraft, Electronics and Construction.

At the beginning of 2008, their operation was growing fast and they needed more space for production.  They decided to expand current operations into their warehouse; the only problem was the warehouse was not equipped to handle the electrical needs of the newly placed machines.  Dennis Hayes

That is when Traver IDC was called in to help out.  After sizing up the electrical needs of the machinery, we installed a 200AMP feed to a 480V Cutler Hammer distribution panel and an Acme 10KVA distribution transformer. In order to provide this feed, we installed 170 feet of 2 inch EMT conduit and over 1100 feet of THHN wire to give them the power they needed to get the job done.  Additionally, we mounted and wired a Cutler Hammer 200AMP 600V 3 pole fusible safety switch for their welding equipment.

Dennis-Hayes-100.gifCommenting on Traver IDC's service, Dennis Hayes, Manufacturing Manager said, “We cannot say enough about their professionalism and expertise; they have always been available to us at a moment's notice. That is why we use them exclusively as our electrical service contractor".

Metallon is now up and runnin® utilizing their new manufacturing space!!
